Our first sighting of the day was a spectacular breaching Humpback Whale, launching out of the water before continuing on its southbound journey along the Humpback Highway. A little further offshore, we spotted a number of additional pods making steady progress south, content to cruise gracefully through the spring waters.

Cabbage Tree Island also offered a highlight for today’s passengers, with the Australian Fur Seals basking in the warm sunshine. One particularly playful seal stole the show, putting on an entertaining display that delighted everyone on board.

With the combination of breaching whales, migrating pods, and charismatic seals, today’s cruise showcased the best of Port Stephens’ marine life in this special season.
