What a day to be on the water! With beautiful calm conditions, our cruise set off toward Cabbage Tree Island where the ever-entertaining seals were enjoying the sunshine — some basking on the rocks while others splashed about in the shallows.
Continuing our journey toward Boondelbah Island, we came across a Humpback mother and her calf leisurely making their way south on their migration. Out on the horizon, passengers were treated to the spectacular sight of breaches galore — a true display of the energy and strength of these magnificent whales.
As we neared Fingal Island, another mother-and-calf pair surfaced close to the boat, delighting everyone onboard with calm, graceful movements.
The return leg of our cruise was a scenic highlight in itself — gliding past Fingal Spit, Box Beach, Wreck Beach, Zenith Beach, and Mrs Murphy’s Gap beneath the towering Tomaree Headland. It was the perfect end to a morning filled with wildlife, sunshine, and unforgettable views — another postcard-perfect day on the water with Moonshadow-TQC Cruises.
