‘ABSOLUTELY BEST DAY YET’ quoted straight from our veteran cruise director Renee. The 10.00am morning cruise started off with so much happening the crew didn’t know where to look!. Reports were coming in thick and fast, that the Whales were sighted as soon as they cruised out of the heads; around 6 to 8 pods sighted. Captain Ben manoeuvred towards Fingal Light House to watch a group of Humpbacks moving slowly and spending a lot of time on the surface. Not long after settling in to view this group they saw a few breaching whales close by which just put the passengers into; and the word they used was ‘hysteria’. The 1.30pm afternoon cruise was again full of spectacle as they spotted multiple pods and witnessed double breaches, the jewel in the crown for Whale Watchers.
