For this morning we had the wonderful opportunity of spotting up to ten pods as stated by our crew on MS V. With two medium whales coming up close the boat, passengers on MS V experienced active whales: with tail dives and head lunges. Hinchinbrook Explorer were able to spot two pods of whales who had okay surface time in the morning with one breach in the distance. There were nine lazy seals sleeping on the rocks at Cabbage Tree Island, while the dolphins decided not to say hello to us today. The afternoon cruise were welcomed by four active whales who were curious. Coming close to the boat the whales decided to say hi with pectoral slaps, head lunging, tail slaps and also a few breaches too.
