Blue sky, sunshine and whales make a back to work Monday much more enjoyable!

The number Humpback Whales heading along the Port Stephens coastline are in abundance, our Captains are having the choice of a number of pods to view during each cruise. Passengers aboard the MV Spirit have sighted three or four pods of whales each pod consisting of two whales. All pods were pretty intent on continuing their journey north bound, just quietly swimming along with just a couple of tail slaps and lobs. At one stage two whales have come in quiet close to the vessel.

Great sea conditions for our afternoon whale watch cruise aboard the Hinchinbrook Explorer with light breezes and plenty of sunshine.  We have been joined by three large pods of Common Dolphins riding the pressure wave on the bow of the vessel. We have followed along beside a pod of three Humpback Whales, they were a bit quiet but did view a couple of spy hops and tail flicks.
