There is nothing better than a relaxing Sunday morning, and we are sure of first pod of whales sighted this morning were having a slow, relaxing start to their day too. The pod consisted of a Humpback mother and calf, traveling with another adult escort located just south of Little Island. The trio came very close to the boat at one stage, giving everyone onboard the Hinchinbrook Explorer a very close encounter. One of the adults has surprise all by breaching, along with the calf.
We have tracked along with the trio before they have merged together with a second pod of two Humpback Whales close to the Fingal Island Lighthouse.
