4 JULY 2026
There was no shortage of excitement on the water today, with one thing dominating the agenda – whales, whales, and more whales!
From the moment we left Port Stephens, humpback whales were putting on an unforgettable display. Throughout the day we were treated to spectacular breaches, energetic head lunges, playful tail lobs, and the incredible sight of a heat run, as multiple whales surged through the water in an impressive display of speed and power. Every direction we looked seemed to reveal another pod, making today’s cruises a truly remarkable experience.
As if the whales weren’t enough, our local Port Stephens Bottlenose Dolphins greeted us at the entrance to the harbour, delighting passengers as they cruised effortlessly alongside the vessel. To round out an already incredible day, the resident seals at Cabbage Tree Island were spotted basking peacefully in the winter sunshine, providing the perfect contrast to the action-packed whale encounters offshore.
With whale numbers continuing to build along the humpback migration, every day on the water is offering something unique, and today’s cruise was another reminder of why Port Stephens is one of Australia’s premier whale watching destinations.
We can’t wait to welcome tomorrow’s passengers aboard for another incredible day with nature.
