Whale Sightings

On this morning’s whale watching cruise aboard the MV Osprey, two Humpback Whales were sighted near Fingal Lighthouse heading north and entertained us with two breaches. Then we encountered a heat run of four whales engaging in head lunges, breaches and tail slaps.

A magnificent day on the water with a total of ten whales sighted along with twelve seals at Cabbage Tree Island and one large Turtle. On the return trip twenty five Bottlenose Dolphins were off Nelson Head.
