It was a slightly quieter morning out on the water today, but that certainly didn’t stop us from enjoying some special whale-watching moments!
Our crew located one solo adult humpback making its way steadily south on its migration journey. Although this whale was keeping things fairly relaxed, travelling consistently with not too much activity at the surface, it had one last surprise in store for us!
Just towards the end of our cruise, our solo traveller treated us to one absolutely HUGE tail throw – the perfect way to finish off the morning and a great reminder that you never quite know what these magnificent animals have planned!
On our journey back into the harbour, we were also greeted by plenty of our local bottlenose dolphins, cruising around and adding a little extra wildlife magic to the trip.
A quieter morning for whale activity, but still plenty to enjoy out on beautiful Port Stephens!
