It was a full day of Whale sightings aboard both our Hinchinbrook Explorer and Port Stephens Spirit vessels. 10am Hinchinbrook Explorer found two fully grown humpbacks just off Fingal Bay, looked to be traveling fast but still coming up nice and close to say hello just shy of 100m from the boat. They put on a show with 4min sounding dives!
Our 11am passengers on board Spirit also had the pleasure of spending some time with the same two Humpbacks putting on the same spectacular show. Full of double breaches and 4min sounding dives also! We did locate another two groups near Broughton Island, however they were a little more on the shy side. We also had the pleasure of sighting 11x seals and also a small pod of bottlenose dolphins on our ventures today.
