Whale Sightings

Today has been a picture perfect Sunday on the water at Port Stephens for whale watching along the Whale Highway- we have been blessed with brilliant sunshine, calm seas and light breezes. We are seeing great numbers of Humpback Whales mum traveling in close to the shore line with their calves. One of the pairs of mum and calf were seen logging (sleeping) on the surface of the water. The pair then woke up with mum starting to head lung and the calf showing off with practice breaches. The second pod of whales were playfully pec slapping, at times rolling onto their backs and showing the white bellies.
