Today’s whale watching adventures proved that a little ocean swell is well worth the reward!
After several days of rough seas, conditions remained a little rolly offshore, but our passengers were treated to some truly memorable encounters on both our morning and afternoon cruises.
We were lucky enough to spend quality time with several groups of humpback whales, enjoying extended surface activity that gave everyone fantastic viewing opportunities. The whales put on an incredible display, treating us to graceful full-body rolls, energetic pec slaps, and even a surprise breach that had everyone cheering!
Our morning cruise also ventured past Cabbage Tree Island, where we spotted one very well-fed Australian fur seal relaxing on the rocks – a wonderful bonus sighting to start the day.
It’s another reminder that every day on the water is different, and nature always has a few surprises in store. With whales continuing their annual migration along the Port Stephens coastline, the season is shaping up to be full of unforgettable moments.
We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
