Fantastic, incredible, terrific, impressive, unbelievable, striking, magnificent, smashing, top-notch which ever word chosen it has been a cracking day for whale watching aboard the Hinchinbrook Explorer.
The morning cruise spotted breaching and tail slapping whales in the distance as we have cruised towards Fingal Island. There must be about four pods of whales with a total Humpback Whales thought to be 15. At one point a pod of whales have swam close to the vessel.
The afternoon cruise has continued in the same manner our passengers being amazed with breaching whales not too far from the vessel. All whales have spent a good amount of time on the surface of the water, at one stage there was even a pod of Common Dolphins intervening and weaving themselves in amongst the pod of whales
