MOONSHADOW TQC CRUISES WHALE WATCHING PORT STEPHENS

Whales galore today! On board our morning cruise we encountered what were initially just 3 pods of whales casually migrating north, but soon turned into an exciting heat run.  There was lots of activity & displays of competition for our passengers to witness with repetitive head lunges and tail slaps.  There were also plenty of breeches seen further into the distance while we were watching the heat run in our immediate surroundings.  Then came a real surprise with a big breech just 10 metres from the bow!  On our return back to port we had a few large pods of bottlenose dolphins off Tomaree Headland.

Our crew reported back from this afternoons cruise saying there are ‘whales everywhere!’ just off Fingal Island. And certainly kept our passengers excited with lots of tail slaps, breaches, head lunges & pectoral fin slaps. All in all a great day cruising the humpback highway.
