Passengers were fully prepared to take on the winter weather by heading out to find whales. During the 11am on Spirit of Port three whales were spotted travelling north with okay surface time. There was one breach from a whale that only half of the passengers saw as there was another whale at the back of the boat. There were also three curious whales that came quite close to the boat. Stopping at Cabbage Tree Island passengers said hello to the seals who were relaxing in the winter sun. Travelling back towards the D’Albora Marina, Common Dolphins decided to have some fun on the bow. In the afternoon Hinchinbrook were super excited to see lots of whales straight out past the headlands. Nearby breach, fin slapping and great surface time, the whales certainly did not disappoint today.
