We have not needed to travel too far through the headlands at Shoal Bay to find the whales on our morning cruise aboard the Hinchinbrook Explorer. It looks like the Humpback Mother and her calf have stuck around overnight, and we have found them located on the ocean side of Mt Tomaree. We have watched a couple of breaches before leaving this pair to enjoy the calm waters.
We have then cruised north bound and found our second pod of the day consisting of three Humpback Whales putting on a amazing display of breaching a number of times.
