Whale hello there!! We can see whales in every direction this morning.
The first sighting of the day for the Hinchinbrook Explorer was a pod of three whales just outside the headland. There was a little bit of playful action with one of the whales splashing the surface of the water with a tail lob.
Passengers aboard MV Spirit have headed due east of the Bay to find a pod of two Humpback Whales that were spending a good amount of time on the surface of the water, but have been quiet. We have then moved onto find our second pod of whales north east of Little Island, as we approached we could see the mammoth splash of a double breach and then once we got closer have viewed a single breach. Both whales have come in nice and close to the vessel, giving everyone onboard a great experience with the mighty Humpback Whale.
