Experience the thrill of sighting a whale like you just can’t from the shore – why watch from a distance on the beach when Moonshadow TQC can get you up close and personal. We have been blessed with multiple pods of Humpback Whales right through out the day, with the numbers of whales increasing each day we seem to be in the peak time of the northern migration along the Port Stephens coastline.
There has been a variety of whale behaviours viewed today; from beautiful tail dives as the whales take a sounding dive beneath the surface of the water to get their bearing on where they are, whales communicating with other pods by beaching and landing on the water with a big splash! And of course just swimming along at their own pace as they continue north bound.
Passengers have had an interesting encounter with a Melon Headed Whales that came in nice and close to the boat, along with a short heat run of boisterous whales competing with one another.
