With windy conditions about we were prepared for a bit of chop offshore, but certainly nothing that our boats and capable skippers cant handle, so we headed out offshore and found a pod of two very active whales who seemed to really enjoy the extra movement in the water. We decided to hang out with these two for the majority of our cruise time as we enjoyed their majestic displays of breaching, tail slaps, tail lobs and pectoral fin slaps.
As we approached some slightly calmer conditions towards Cabbage Tree Island what we thought at first was a pod of dolphins actually turned out to be a large group of seals swimming in the water together!
