24 AUGUST 2026
Monday delivered warm sunshine and only a slight breeze accompanying our passengers on their whale-watching adventure.
Our first sighting of the day was a pair of magnificent humpback whales travelling south. Not long afterwards, the crew spotted a very large adult humpback powering north at an impressive pace – perhaps he knew he was running late!
Attention soon turned to a lone whale breaching in the distance. As it appeared particularly active, we cruised closer to take a better look. As we approached, the whale began tail slapping, creating spectacular bursts of white water and plenty of excitement for everyone onboard.
It was another memorable day of whale watching off Port Stephens, with a wonderful variety of behaviours on display.
Join Moonshadow-TQC Cruises and experience the excitement of seeing these incredible animals in their natural environment – you never know what the next cruise may bring!
