40minutes into our trip today we located several humpbacks all traveling a combination of north and south. We definitely feel to be in that cross over stage where we have some late stragglers and also some early movers heading back south. We weren’t complaining though as they were coming in nice and close to our boat giving our passengers prime viewing of some tail lobs and their majestic movements through the water.
We had some very cute mother and calf pods of common dolphins offshore also enjoying the clear conditions and then a lone seal at Cabbage Tree Island had us all cheering it on as it clambered its way upon a rock and then looked very proud indeed once it reached its spot. Scroll for the sweet pics!
