Whale Watching Moonshadow TQC Cruises Port Stephens

We have woken to another picture perfect winters day in Port Stephens with blue sky, sunshine galore and light breezes making ideal conditions for off shore cruising the Humpback Whale Highway!

There are whales in every direction today – we have traveled straight in line with the Yaccaba Headland to a depth of around 80 meters of water. We can see pods of Humpbacks to the left, to the right, in front and also behind us. All pods appear to be resting or just content in swimming along at a leisurely pace, and not in any real hurry – but the sound of the whales breathing as they come to the surface get you every time. We are so lucky to be able to share the panoramic views and spot whales from every angle – no more squinting from the shoreline.

Cabbage Tree Island was in high demand with lots of seals basking on the rocks in the sunshine today – can’t quite image how they find the rocks comfortable.
