Whale Watching Moonshadow TQC Cruises Port Stephens

Port Stephens has turned on a magical Autumn Day! There is hardly a breath of air this afternoon as MV Osprey has headed out through the headland at Mt Tomaree, Shoal Bay. As Captain Dan has cruised out towards Fingal Island we can see around five pods of whales making their way north bound. We have chosen a pod with four Humpback Whales that seemed to be spending a good amount of time on the surface of the water. All whales were very vocal with our passengers being able to hear the sounds of the pod as they broke the water surface. Its not just the whales on display today with jets from Williamtown RAAF base buzzing over the vessel at one point. Of course when you turn your back on a whale they are bound to breach, Cruise Director Renee looked behind the vessel towards the Lighthouse to see alone whale breaching out of the water.
