Whale Sightings

The MV Osprey followed two southbound Humpback Whales on this morning’s cruise with very short sounding dives so that means lots of surface time.  When the vessel reached Fingal Lighthouse one of the Whales breached and the other tail lobbed.  They continued to display about six more breaches near the boat.  To join in the fun the Dolphins were circling and Gannets dive bombing.  MV Osprey headed back inside past the Fingal Spit and beaches to discover Bottlenose Dolphins inside Yaccaba Headlands where they spent about five minutes close to the boat.
