With a windy day ahead of us we were unsure of what the day would entail, but our crew were lucky enough to find a lone humpback just off Fingal Lighthouse who was providing our viewers some great surface time. There were breaches, tail slaps, pectoral fin slaps, tail dives and also just a bit of logging about. ‘Logging’ is when a whale is when a whale will lie quietly on the surface of the water for an extended amount if time.
This whale was however very nice and close to the boat and had our passengers captivated for the majority of our cruise this morning. We then had the pleasure of locating some bottle nose dolphins at both Tomaree & Yacaaba Headlands and then again along the break wall coming back into the marina.
