Our day has begun with the sighting of two pods of Bottlenose Dolphins as we have cruised out towards Mt Tomaree. The whales have had a bit of a lazy start to their Sunday morning. We have been spending time with a pod of two Humpback Whales that were very quiet when we first joined the pod, they have then come to life a bit more with one whale sticking its head out of the water to see what was going on around them. They have then started to roll about on the surface of the water, becoming quite playful.
There has been a slight improvement of sea conditions during our afternoon whale watch cruises. Passengers aboard Moonshadow V have been tracking along with two pods of Humpback Whales with two whales in each pod. At times the pods have been a little hard to follow with six to seven minute sounding dives, but all were intent on swimming along their northern migration.
